Nadia Ahern is ‘The Border City girl from the Motor City’. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised across the river in Windsor Ontario Canada, Nadia’s heritage is an eclectic mix of Middle Eastern, Finnish, French Canadian, and Irish. While that could mean she loves tabouli, sauna, hockey and whiskey (Which she does!), it has also been that ethnic ambiguity that has made her a go-to for roles spanning the cultural spectrum. Born to an auto worker father and homemaker mother of 3 girls, Nadia learned quickly that a hard work ethic was invaluable to achieve her dreams and make her love of acting a career. She has used that work ethic all throughout her schooling, becoming the inaugural winner of the Windsor Center for Creative Arts achievement award for excellence in Drama and Voice. Upon graduation from the prestigious BFA acting program at the University of Windsor, Nadia crossed the river back to her birthplace to join The Second City in Detroit, both as a member of their Tour Company and joined the Mainstage Company for the revue “White Water Rafting”. Trading Detroit Coneys for Chicago Dogs(no ketchup, please!), she continued her training in Chicago as a chosen participant in Uta Hagen’s Master Class at the Piven Theatre workshop, where Nadia also studied while working in the late night stage and improv scenes there. A fixture with the New Tuners New Musicals festival and a regular in commercials and regional voice over campaigns, Nadia gave up the cold winters of The Windy City(But NEVER gave up the Chicago Cubs!) for Los Angeles, where she continues to train in her craft and work in film, tv and several commercial campaigns.
