ALL ABOUT NADIA!
It’s been said that Nadia Ahern is animated, but not like a cartoon but more like a parallel universe theory! In our reality, she is a Border City gal from the Motorcity. Born in Detroit, but raised over the river on the Canadian side in Windsor, Ontario. As a dual citizen, growing up in a household and neighborhood surrounded by different cultures and languages gave Nadia a sense of how valuable that immersion would be once she got into the booth and in front of the microphone.
The inaugural recipient of the Windsor Center for Creative Arts award for excellence in drama and music, Nadia is also a graduate of the prestigious BFA theatre program at the University of Windsor. Upon graduation, she jumped in as a member of both the touring companies and joined the Main Stage cast in the show WHITEWATER RAFTING at THE SECOND CITY in Detroit, MI. Upon making the move to Chicago, Nadia began working regularly in commercials, industrials and voice overs for several regional campaigns while studying at Piven Theatre Workshop and was a chosen participant to work with the legendary Uta Hagen when she taught her summer intensive there.
A two-time consecutive Society of Voice Arts and Sciences Voice Arts Award nominee and winner in 2018 for Outstanding Animation Demo-Best Voiceover, Nadia’s work ethic and commitment to her acting craft comes through on every project she does behind the mic, in front of the camera and live on stage. Her work with multiple automotive manufacturers as a go-to voice for product and technology training, along with her work as a Basic Life Support Instructor for the American Heart Association makes her a natural for both technical and medical narration and instruction. With an eclectic Finnish-American/French-Canadian and Middle Eastern heritage and living in a community with Italian, Greek and Eastern European families, she also has a great range of accents and cultural perspective that brings realism to the characters she breathes life into with her versatile voice.
Based in Los Angeles, Nadia is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actor’s Equity and works consistently on stage, in front of the camera and in the booth, both as a voice over artist and session singer. Recently, she had the honor of being on stage at the 90th Academy Awards for the nominated song “This is Me” from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN with Keala Settle. She is on the original cast recording of BUKOWSICAL!-the musical satire and homage to LA’s Charles Bukowski and is a member of the Los Robles Master Chorale, under the direction of Lesley Leighton, along with a longtime member of the 6 part a cappella group WESTBEAT. When not collaborating with brands and companies in the studio, Nadia enjoys life in Southern California with her husband, warm-up comedian/actor Jeff Ahern and their son, cheering on the Chicago Cubs when they come to town, tending her organic vegetable garden, being an advocate for neuro-diversity in the entertainment industry and is a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan.

PEOPLE ARE SAYING...
“Nadia’s voice-over skills are first class! She is the consummate pro in the booth and her voice and tone have a uniquely clear resonance. Was fantastic to have her on our recent Acura projects she is especially knowledgeable about automotive and sailed through technical information without hitting any speed bumps.”
“The third element of that core is the country girl Alonza whom Quixote’s imagination transforms to the ravishing Dulcinea. She is played here by Nadia Ahern, who keeps the character grounded in the real world as counterpoint to Elliott’s Quixote. She also delivers the songs, as do Elliott and Blumenfeld, with gusto and conviction.”
“Ahern brings a flinty edge of realism and tart wit to Aldonza”
“Nadia Ahern’s ANW debut is a strong one: she is a feisty little bearcat with a soulful voice that is aptly suited for the role of Aldonza and she carries her challenging opening number, “It’s All the Same,” with due confidence and passion.”
“Nadia Ahern’s Aldonza does everything right in becoming Dulcinea”
“Ahern belts out Judas Iscariot’s powerful “Heaven On Their Minds” from Jesus Christ Superstar and later gives Broadway and movie Effies a run for their money with a gritty, emotional “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls.”
“Nadia Ahern is an acerbic, sometimes Bronx-flavored Lucy Van Pelt who somehow captures Lucy’s familiar teeth gritted grimace when Charlie Brown tries her patience too far.”
“Nadia Ahern brings beauty and class to the role of Jacqueline”
“All the chorus girls have lovely voices, with Nadia Ahern as a comic standout”
